Prof. Regina C. Betz, MD

Regina Betz is Professor of Dermatogenetics at the Institute of Human Genetics at the University of Bonn in Germany. After studying medicine at the University of Saarland and the Karolinska Institute Stockholm, she worked in Stockholm, and the Universities of Freiburg, Bonn and Antwerp. In 2010, she was appointed as Heisenberg Professor for Dermatogenetics in Bonn which became tenure in 2015. ##MORE## The particular research focus of her working group is dermatogenetics, with a main interest in diverse forms of monogenic and genetically complex alopecias and hyperpigmentation disorders. The work, and primarily the elucidation of several disease genes, was rewarded by a number of prizes and awards and is documented in more than 180 publications, among them several publications in high ranking international journals (e.g. Nature Genet., Am J Hum Genet, J Invest Dermatol). Dr. Betz has a board qualification in Human Genetics.
Ulrike Blume-Peytavi, MD, PhD
Prof. Ulrike Blume-Peytavi is full University professor of Dermatology and Allergology. She is Vice director of the Department of Dermatology, Venerology and Allergology, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Director of the Clinical Research Center for Hair and Skin Science (CRC) and head of the Pediatric Dermatology unit. Prof. Blume-Peytavi`s clinical research interests and clinical activities comprise hair disorders, pediatric dermatology and innovative topical dermatotherapy. ##MORE## She is author of more than 370 scientific publications, editor of the Textbook on Hair Growth and Disorders and also editor of the German Atlas of Pediatric Dermatology. Prof. Andy Goren, MD (h.c.)
Prof. Andy Goren has over 25 years of experience in research, development, and commercialization of breakthrough therapeutics and diagnostics. Among the list of many firsts in dermatology, Prof. Goren was the first to develop a clinical genetic test for predicting androgenetic alopecia, the first to discover epigenetic markers predicting anti-androgen therapy response in female androgenetic alopecia, the first to develop a clinical acne vulgaris antibiotic response test based on P. Acnes bacterial genomics, and the first to develop a rapid test for predicting minoxidil response in androgenetic alopecia. ##MORE## Prof. Goren was involved in the development, commercialization, and listing of several drugs and medical devices including new therapies for female pattern hair loss, chemotherapy-induced alopecia, excessive hair shedding, female sexual dysfunction, and COVID-19. His latest research is focused on human adaptation to the energy crisis. Prof. Goren currently serves as an External Medical Advisor and a Co-Researcher at the Trichology Unit, Ramon y Cajal Hospital, Madrid, Spain; a Visiting Professor of Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Clinical Hospital Center Sestre Milosrdnice, Zagreb, Croatia; a Medical Doctor at the Skin & Cosmetic Research Dept., Shanghai Skin Disease Hospital, Shanghai, China; and a Visiting Medical Doctor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, L.T.M. Dr. Anna Lyakhovitsky
Dr. Anna Lyakhovitsky is a dermatologist specializing in hair, scalp, and nail disorders. She earned her MD from Hadassah Medical School, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine at Kaplan Medical Center, followed by dermatology training at Chaim Sheba Medical Center, affiliated with Tel Aviv University. Since 2003, Dr. Lyakhovitsky has been a dermatologist at Chaim Sheba Medical Center, where she leads the Hair and Scalp Disorders Clinic. She also serves as the Coordinator of Continuing Medical Education for Dermatology Residency Programs affiliated with Tel Aviv University. ##MORE## Her contributions in dermatology have been recognized with professional honors, including the Hadassah Medical School Faculty Prize for Excellence in Clinical Work and the Israel Society of Dermatology and Venereology Prize for Best Research. Andrew Messenger is a semi-retired consultant dermatologist based in Sheffield and an Honorary Professor at the University of Sheffield. He has a longstanding clinical and research interest in hair biology and disorders of hair growth. His research has focused on various aspects of alopecia areata, female pattern hair loss and frontal fibrosing alopecia. He was a founder member and is a past president of the European Hair Research Society.

Prof. Yuval Ramot is an internationally recognized dermatologist and researcher, specializing in inflammatory and genetic skin diseases, as well as hair disorders. He earned his MD and MSc in Biochemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, graduating with distinction, and completed advanced training in hair research at the University of Lübeck, Germany, supported by the prestigious Minerva Fellowship. ##MORE## At Hadassah Medical Center, Prof. Ramot leads the Service for Inflammatory Diseases of the Skin and is a prominent member of the Center for Genetic Diseases of the Skin and Hair. His research spans inflammatory skin conditions, genetic disorders, cutaneous toxicology, and the neuroendocrine regulation of skin and hair. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to 14 book chapters. Prof. Ramot is frequently invited to lecture at international conferences and scientific forums. Dr. David Saceda Corralo
Dr. David Saceda is a dermatologist at the Hair Disorders Unit of Hospital Ramón y Cajal and Grupo Pedro Jaén in Madrid, Spain. His clinical practice focuses on autoimmune-induced alopecia and medical procedures to treat hair loss. His current clinical research centers on frontal fibrosing alopecia at the University of Alcala, where he completed his PhD research on FFA. He also serves as the Co-Director of the Master’s Program in Hair Loss and Hair Transplantation (#TricoHRC).

Jacek C Szepietowski is a full professor of dermatology at the Faculty of Medicine of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland and at the Department of Dermato-Venereology, 4 th Military Hospital, Wroclaw, Poland. He is a Doctor Honoris Causa of the Caucasus International University in Tbilisi, Georgia and a Fellow of the Royal Colleague of Physicians in Edinburgh. He is a current President of Polish Dermatological Society, Past President of the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry (ESDaP), ##MORE## Past Present of International Forum for the Study of Itch (IFSI) and Past Vice-President of the International Society of Dermatology (ISD). Prof. Szepietowski is an author or coauthor of more than 900 scientific articles, 17 books, more than 80 book chapters. His index “h” (Web of Science) is 72. He is a Honorary Member of 22 international and national scientific societies. His main topics of interests are: itch, psychodermatology and chronic skin inflammation, including hidradenitis suppurativa.
Dr Antonella Tosti
Dr Tosti is Fredric Brandt Endowed Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami. She trained in Dermatology in Bologna, Italy, which is the oldest university in the world, and was full Professor of Dermatology in Bologna before moving to Miami in 2010. Dr Tosti is internationally recognized as an expert on hair and nail disorders. She started a clinic dedicated to hair disorders at the University of Bologna in 1982, the very first hair clinic in the world— as there were very few people interested in hair at that time. ##MORE## She was president and founding member of the European Hair Research Society and is now Past President of the American Hair Research Society. She is founding member and past President and Secretary General of the International Society of Trichoscopy. She was president of the European Nail Society and Council of Nail Disorders. She is board member of the International Society of Dermatology. She is regularly invited worldwide as a speaker and she has been directing sessions and symposia at the AAD, EADV and World Congress of Dermatology. She organized several meetings on diagnosis and treatment of hair and nail disorders in Italy including a very successful annual Course on hair, nail and cosmetics in Capri. She is founder member of the International Academy of Trichoscopy an educationalorganization. She is author of more than 600 peer reviewed papers (h index 74 on Scopus) and editor/co-editor of 30 books including 10 published book on diagnosis and treatment of hair disorders. She is editor in chief of Skin Appendage Disorders. Dr Tosti trained hundreds of dermatologists from all around the world and is proud to say that many of them are today recognized as experts in hair and nail disorders.


Professor Abraham Zlotogorski
Professor Abraham Zlotogorski, born  in Haifa, Israel, is an MD graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. His research and fellowship periods focused on the clinical aspects and the molecular biology of skin and hair diseases in the School of Pharmacy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute in New Jersey, USA, Columbia University in New York, NY, USA, and Department of Genetics and Metabolic diseases at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. ##MORE## Prof. Zlotogorski was the director of the Center for Genetic Diseases of the Skin and Hair in Hadassah Medical Center and the chairman of the Department of Dermatology in Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. Prof. Zlotogorski served as the secretary and then president of the European Hair Research Society (2011-2017). His main research interests are hair diseases and genetic diseases of the skin and hair. He published more than 200 articles, book chapters and books, mainly on genodermatoses and hair diseases.
